Dispatch
Orders placed before our daily cutoff go out the same business day. Orders after it go out the next business day. We do not dispatch on Shabbat or Yom Tov.
We pack every order by hand. If something in your order is unclear, we will call you rather than guess.
Delivery estimates are estimates
We work backwards from Erev Sukkot with transit time built in. If you are ordering late in the season, call us and we will tell you honestly whether it will make it.
We cannot guarantee a delivery date. Carriers miss dates for weather, volume, and reasons none of us control, especially in the weeks before a holiday when everyone is shipping at once. If a delivery is running late, call us — we would rather work the problem with you than have you wait and hope.
Arba minim ship on their own schedule
Lulav and etrog sets are living plants. They ship after Rosh Hashanah, not on the day you order, because a set posted in early Elul arrives wilted.
Order early to reserve your grade — the higher grades sell out — and we hold it until the right moment to send.
Collect in person — Pico or the Valley
If you are in Los Angeles you are welcome to collect rather than ship, and there is no delivery charge when you do. Two places:
Pico — 1428 S Shenandoah St, Los Angeles, CA 90035.
The Valley — The Shul, 18410 Ventura Blvd, Tarzana, CA 91356.
This is worth doing for a lulav and etrog set in particular. Collected in person it goes straight from our hands to yours the same day, instead of spending time in transit.
Choose your pickup point at checkout. Call us first to arrange a time — we would rather know you are coming than have you find nobody there.
Large and freight items
Sukkah kits are oversized parcels and cost more to ship than their weight suggests. The rate shown at checkout is the real rate.
A few items — full-length bamboo poles in particular — cannot be rated automatically. Those are marked on the product page and need a phone call so we can quote freight to your address.
If something is not right when it arrives
Open your kit as soon as it arrives — not the night before Yom Tov — and check it against the parts list. Kits are packed by hand, and once in a while something gets missed.
If anything is missing, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, call us and we will ship the replacement at our cost, as fast as we can get it to you. That is on us, not on you, and we will not put you through a process about it.
The same goes for a lulav and etrog set. Every set is checked before it is packed, but if one arrives damaged or is not as described, call us the day it lands and we will make it right in time for Yom Tov.
